HISTORY
In 1996, a select group of Geriatric MDs, gerontologists, elder law attorneys, CPAs, financial planners, and other experts on senior issues assisted with the formation of
Society of Certified Senior Advisors. Based on a report from AARP, 1,500,000 professionals work full time with seniors, but only 8,000 have gerontology degrees. It was evident that professionals working with seniors
